NEDA-CAR’s efforts in human resource management earned it the Level II Maturity Award in Recruitment, Selection, and Placement (RSP), one of the four core areas of the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM).
The PRIME-HRM program aims to transform government agencies’ Human Resource Management system, competencies and practices to a level of excellence that fosters good governance.
During the awarding ceremony on 15 March 2017, Mr. George Manzano, the officer-in-charge of CSC Baguio Field Office, explained that this award gives recognition to topnotch agencies that excel in human resource management (HRM) systems, practices and competencies of government agencies in the four core HRM areas.
To date, out of 133 agencies in CAR covered under the PRIME-HRM, only nine agencies were given the award so far, and the NEDA-CAR is one of these nine agencies. With the award, the NEDA-CAR would be given priority assistance from CSC to enable it meet the enhanced PRIME-HRM maturity level indicators pursuant to CSC Memorandum Circular No. 24, s. 2016.
On behalf of NEDA-CAR, Regional Director Milagros A. Rimando received the Certificate of Recognition for obtaining Maturity Level II in Recruitment, Selection, and Placement as a result of the agency’s determination and invaluable efforts to promote people excellence for efficient and effective service delivery.
In her speech, Director Rimando said that people excellence is one of the values of NEDA. She cited the 2008 ISO certification of NEDA-CAR, initiatives in the area of productivity olympics where NEDA Regional Offices from Luzon come together for annual friendly sports competition and use of balance score card to gauge agency performance. She also mentioned that the strength in recruitment is not only for organic staff but also for job order staff of NEDA-CAR.
The Human Resource Office of NEDA-CAR also received a Certificate of Recognition for its commendable efforts and commitment which catapulted NEDA-CAR to achieve Maturity Level II for HR systems and HRM office competencies, one of the four core areas of the PRIME-HRM program. The award was received by Ms. Teresita Robillos, Human Resource Management Officer IV of NEDA-CAR.( 22 March 2017).
