BAGUIO CITY – The NEDA Regional Office Cordillera received its Civil Service PRIME-HRM Certification level II Bronze Award on September 30, 2020. The office is one of only five government agencies in Baguio City and one of seven in the entire Cordillera region to receive PRIME-HRM Certification level II.

PRIME-HRM stands for Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) which aims to enhance human resource management among government offices to ensure efficient and effective public service delivery. NEDA-CAR received certification level II in each of the four core human resource areas: Recruitment, Selection and Placement, Learning and Development, Performance Management, and Rewards and Recognition.

In 2017, NEDA-CAR was recognized in only one pillar (i.e. recruitment, selection and placement) but in its desire to improve its human resource management systems, it endeavored to also be certified in the other three pillars (i.e. learning and development, performance management and rewards and recognition) by the Civil Service Commission. The NEDA – CAR is committed to sustain and upgrade its systems and procedures to enhance the delivery of its services. The NEDA – CAR is also certified as compliant to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.

Other awardees from the Cordillera include Luis Hora Memorial Hospital in Bauko, Mountain Province, Ifugao State University in Lamut, Ifugao, and DTI-CAR, Baguio General Hospital, Baguio Water District, and the Local Government of Baguio.
