Rising to the Challenges of Development and Autonomy

Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen:

Ten years ago we were the fastest growing region with our economy growing at 17 percent:  today we have a growth rate of 1.8 percent … suddenly we are the slowest growing region.

Having the lowest growth rate is certainly NOT what we want.  But before we get disheartened with this statistic, let us analyze and understand it, and more important USE THIS statistic to our advantage.  This should be THE compelling reason for us to review our strategies and DEMAND MORE FROM OURSELVES to improve our regional economy and also to demand more support from the national government.
