“Cooperation is key to success of BLISTT,” says newly elected Chairman of BLISTT Governing Council Mayor Domogan in his closing remarks during the BLISTT Development Council Meeting and oath taking ceremony last March 7, 2014 at the El Cielito Inn, Baguio City.

Mayors Domogan, Baldo, Tabanda and Paoad (represented by Mayor Bentrez) took their oath as the 2014 BLISTT Governing Council Officers administered by Regional Trial Court Judge Marybelle Demot Mariñas. Witnesses to the oath taking ceremony were representatives from the Development Council member agencies and organizations which includes DILG, DENR, DOT, DTI, DPWH, LOGODEF, NCIP, NEDA, Office of the Congressmen of Baguio and Benguet, Office of the Benguet Governor, Benguet Provincial Police Office and Baguio City Police Office.

The Development Council members were then given updates on the decisions made by the Governing Council in their January 17 and February 27, 2014 meetings. The last BLISTT Development Council Meeting was held last December 20, 2013. The major updates include the request for DOST to expand the monorail feasibility study to cover all BLISTT areas, the election of officers, the approval of the 2014 BLISTT Work and Financial Plan, and the approval of the BLISTT Local Consultations Activity Design.

Several Development Council Members also signed the BLISTT Memorandum of Agreement which was finalized and signed by the BLISTT Mayors last January 17, 2014.
