Regional autonomy would be beneficial for the better management of the  region’s unique environment and rich natural resources.

This was stressed  by Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Regional Executive Director Clarence Baguilat, in a press conference here Friday,  as part of  the kick-off program of the Cordillera Month celebration this July.

According to Baguilat, as  the regional head of DENR Cordillera and after being posted for 16 years in the different parts of the country, he  has seen and is  confident that   aside from progress and economic development that regional autonomy could bring, it would also be beneficial as far as governance of natural resources  in the region is concerned.
