NEDA-CAR Dir. Milagros A. Rimando (fourth from left) and Asst. Dir. and Jedidia L. Aquino (first from right) celebrated the success of the Sagada concert-forum with The Cordillera Connection (TCC) through a meeting last February 13, 2018.

BAGUIO CITY – Members of the TCC band met with Dir. Rimando on February 13, 2018 to review and assess the recently concluded Sagada Concert-Forum on Cordillera autonomy.

It is a shared sentiment that the concert was a success, in fact, exceeding the expected outcome. This is due to the support of the Sagada LGU and other partners which mobilized the community members to attend the event. Second, is the effectiveness of the emcees who also served as resource persons in setting the direction and discussing the topics with participation of the audience. Third, is the eagerness coming from the good mix of the Sagada audience composed of the young ones to the once young. Finally, the multiplier effect gained from the RDC and NEDA’s partnership with TCC.

The band members claim that they feel confident to share and answer autonomy-related questions with their families, circle of friends, colleagues, organizations and even during the meetings and assemblies they attend.

TCC band front man Mr. Gregorio Taag inspired the members saying, “It’s [referring to autonomy] not just an advocacy, it’s a mission”. With this, future partnership with the TCC is expected this year, not only in concert-forums but also in other IEC activities as well.

The TCC band is fired-up more than ever in the next concert-forums. Updates on the final schedule of the concerts in Abra, Apayao and Baguio City will be posted soon through the One Cordillera, Yes to Autonomy Facebook page.
