The Regional Committee on Filipino Family (RCFF) in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) led by the DSWD recognized the winners of the 2022 Regional Search for the Natatanging Pamilyang Pilipino on September 22, 2022.
The Adjaro was upheld as the exemplary Filipino family in the region. They demonstrated how to be stable (matatag), comfortable (maginhawa) and have a peaceful life (panatag na buhay) through their resilience, courage, and strength in the face of hardship. The runners-up were the De la Cruz and Juan families.
DSWD Assistant Regional Director (ARD) Amy Cabrera said, “As parents, the measure if we are successful in raising our families is that, we were able to raise good people who are assets to self, to the family, and to the society”.
She added, referring to the children, “Your parents’ legacy is passed on to you. Preserve and pass this on to the next generations. You and your children are the future of this country”.
ARD Cabrera also thanked the members of the Committee, namely, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine Information Agency (PIA), and the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) who served as panelists in screening the nominees to the Search.
The Search for Natatanging Pamilyang Pilipino aims to recognize families that have upheld and demonstrated Filipino values in their way of life, maintaining family cohesiveness and well-being despite the challenges.
The Filipino’s vision outlined in the Ambisyon Natin 2040 recognizes the crucial role of families in achieving national unity, development, stability and growth.
