The compliance of ninety one percent of local governments in the Cordillera to the Aquino administration's Seal of Good Housekeeping (SGH) is a plus factor to convince the national government to support the region's renewed quest for autonomous status.

Dr. Virgilio C. Bautista, co-chairman of the Cordillera Regional Development Council (RDC-CAR), said the outstanding performance of the region's LGUs in complying with transparent and accountable governance is a significant indicator towards realizing the long overdue dream of Cordillerans for self-governance since they will be able to hasten the implementation of development projects and improve the delivery of basic services to the people once they are given the chance to have greater control of the region's resources with lesser restraint from outside forces.
