Baguio City— The National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) CAR has successfully complied with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008 and maintained its ISO certification in the recently concluded Quality Management System(QMS) Second Surveillance Audit held on April 11- 12, 2016.
TUV Rheinland Philippines, one of the leading certifying bodies,represented by Mr. John Francis Faustorilla Jr., conducted the audit of the agency’s QMS in the provision of regional development coordination services. Sixteen procedures were audited anent the delivery of its service to the members of the Cordillera Regional Development Council.
The ISO 9001: 2008 certificate affirms that NEDA-CAR’s processes and management system meet the requirements of the international standard.
Faustorilla, at the end of the audit, commended the agency’s demonstrated and observed commitment and enthusiasm towards continual improvement which is the core of the QMS standard. Opportunities for improvement and including some non-conformity were identified for action to further enhance and improve customer satisfaction for its product and services.
NEDA’s certification ends in June 2017. Meanwhile, it has already charted its work plan for the transition from the current standard to the updated version which is the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
