The National Economic and Development Authority Regional Office Cordillera (NEDA-CAR) passed its first Quality Management System Surveillance Audit under its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems certification last November 6.
The certifying body, SOCOTEC Group (formerly AJA Registrars Group), conducted its annual surveillance audit of NEDA-CAR and found no cases of non-conformity in their Quality Management Systems (QMS). NEDA-CAR was certified compliant on December 14 by AJA Registrars Group according to NEDA-CAR OIC Assistant Regional Director Dolores Molintas. “The certification is valid for three years”, she added. SOCOTEC will be conducting annual audits to ensure the compliance of the NEDA Regional Office’s QMS until 2021 when the certification expires.
NEDA-CAR was certified compliant with the International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems which indicates its consistency in providing quality services that meet statutory and regulatory requirements as well as its ability in enhancing customer satisfaction.
NEDA-CAR enrolled core processes in the area of regional development coordination. These include Regional Development Planning and Plan Monitoring; Regional Development Investment Program Formulation and Project Evaluation: and Project Monitoring & Evaluation. Support processes were also enrolled and certified ISO 9001:2015 compliant. These are Development Information Support; Procurement and Disbursement; Recruitment; Hiring and Selection & Training and Scholarship; Physical Resources Management; Documented Information Procedure; and Internal Quality Audit Control.
