BAGUIO CITY – The National Economic and Development Authority – CAR has forged its partnership with the Baguio City National High School in hosting the work immersion of ten of the latter’s Grade 12 students from February 26 to March 9, 2018 at the NEDA-CAR.

The students under the Accountancy and Business Management program were engaged in the agency’s Electronic National Government Accounting System, Procurement and Supply Management, Task Monitoring, File Management and Communication.

Regional Director Milagros Rimando, recognizing the challenges of partnership for the K-12 work immersion phase, offered 10 slots from an initial recommendation of three.

The K-12 program commenced in 2015 with the passage of Republic Act 10533, otherwise known as Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013, essentially adding two years of specialization within the Basic Education System.

The students are expected to join the ranks of first graduates under the K-12 program on April 4, 2018 (By Jane S. Sianen, NEDA-CAR)
