Continuing cooperation and unity  among Cordillera provinces and cities is the key in  in pushing for regional autonomy and development.  This was emphasized  by  Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan  during the closing program of   the  26th Cordillera Month celebration at the Saint Louis University (SLU) Prince Bernard Gymnasium, Friday.

Giving emphasis on the 26th CAR month theme, “Bridging One Green Cordillera”, Domogan outlined the importance of continuing unity and cooperation among Cordillerans in pushing for regional autonomy,  which  is believed to  strengthen the region’s hold as  the watershed cradle  of  Northern Luzon, as well as in bringing further progress even in the mountainous communities in the region.

“Let us show that we are united as Cordillera people in clamoring for regional autonomy”, Domogan said.

Under  an  autonomous  set up, Domogan pointed out that the region can hasten economic development and the protection, preservation and proper utilization of Cordillera’s rich natural resources, which he said  as  hard to attain under the present  set-up.
