The RDC through ExCom Resolution No. CAR-82 expressed sympathy and condolences to Mrs. Lydia Ignacio Bugnosen and her family on the demise of Andres R. Bugnosen, M.D.
The resolution stated that the RDC is in profound gratitude of Dr. Bugnosen’s contributions to Cordillera regional development. Bugnosen, former governor of Benguet (1988-1992), OIC Executive Director of the Cordillera Executive Board (1990-1991) and chairman of the Regional Development Council (1991-1992) died at the age of 83 last Juy 10, 2011.
The resolution, signed by two-thirds of the 13 members of the RDC ExCom stated that Bugnosen’s short stint in the CEB transpired during a period when the region was reeling from the devastating effects of the 1990 earthquake and in which he played a crucial role in regional disaster response coordination while also responding to the needs of his own province which was among the most affected then.
The resolution was read by RDC acting secretary Florida P. Faculo, during Bugnosen’s wake at the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP) along Chanum Street (near Burnham Park), Baguio City. Bugnosen will be buried, after the 9:00 a.m. funeral mass at the UCCP church, on July 19 at the Pyramid Park, Kias, Baguio City.
