Development and Good Governance – Members of the RDC Development Administration Committee chaired by DILG-CAR OIC Regional Director Araceli San Jose (Top Left) convene virtually to discuss the committee’s priority projects for 2021.

The Cordillera Regional Development Council Development Administration (RDC-DevAd) Committee chaired by DILG-CAR OIC-Regional Director Araceli San Jose met on May 27 to discuss the implementation of the Committee’s work plan for 2021.

Among the activities is a Jingle making contest in support to the “Disiplina Muna” National Advocacy Campaign which aims to activate the real concept of governance where the citizenry is aware of its roles and responsibilities and actively participates in nation-building. The Jingle making contest shall be open to all young amateur musicians ages 24 and below and residing in the Cordillera.

A series of webinars will also be conducted by the committee for the moral recovery program (MRP) to include topics on: 1) The Road to a Better New Normal; 2) Revisiting Public Service Values in Making Discipline a Norm; and 3) Championing Values in Transforming our community. The series of webinars aims to strengthen commitment to public service as prime movers, exemplars and advocates of good governance.

To operationalize the governance advocacy, the committee approved the creation of a technical working group with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) as lead to formulate a communication plan to include the Disiplina Muna Program, the Moral Recovery Program, Public Service Continuity, and Cordillera Autonomy.

The DevAd Committee as a sectoral committee of RDC-CAR is tasked to provide policy directions related to development administration and good governance in the region.
