Baguio City – A training on parliamentary procedures for members of the Regional Development Council (RDC)-CAR is scheduled in January 2014. The activity will focus on basic parliamentary procedures, effective and productive meetings, and giving effective briefings and reports.  The speaker will be Mayor Mauricio Domogan of Baguio City, a lawyer by profession who had rich experiences as mayor, congressman and councilor of the city.

RDC members have different sectors, professions, and socio-cultural backgrounds so that they may have varied familiarity and approaches in managing meetings.

Familiarity in the basics of parliamentary procedures will help in avoiding long or stalled discussions that may end up in a meeting without any agreement.

Earlier, the RDC conducted a media relations training last November 2013 with Susan Ople of the Blas F. Ople Policy Center & Training Institute as resource speaker.
