CAR regains economic growth in 2021, ranks 2nd nationwide

Cordillera economy grows above target

BAGUIO CITY – The Philippine Statistics Authority-Cordillera (PSA-CAR) reported that the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) grew by 7.3% in 2018. Manufacturing industry contributed 42.2% to CAR’s GRDP

According to NSCB, the manufacturing industry which is dominantly located in Baguio's EPZA generated about Ph 51 Billion worth of good and services, or about 42% of the region's GRDP.  In contrast, the agriculture and forestry sector merely generated Ph 12.75 Billion or about a tenth of the region's GRDP.
