The Cordillera RDC adopted the Enhanced Cordillera Regional Development Investment Program (RDIP) 2017-2022 and the Regional Research and Development Agenda (RDA) 2017-2022 through RDC-RPOC Joint Resolution No. 01 and 02, s. 2018, both of which were approved during the RDC-RPOC First Quarter meeting conducted on Feb. 23, 2018 in Baguio City.

The Enhanced RDIP contains the list of programs and projects that will contribute to the attainment of the development goals of the Cordillera RDP. The result of a series of consultations with the region’s RLAs, Congressmen, provinces and Baguio City, it serves as a basis for regional public sector resource allocation, that is, pipelining strategic public sector programs and projects for the period 2017-2022.

Meanwhile, the RDA was formulated in recognition of the significant and crucial role of researches in policy formulation, planning, and decision-making. It provides focus and direction to research and development efforts in the region by identifying researchable areas, topics and themes that correspond to the development issues found in the CAR RDP.  Like the Enhanced RDIP, it was formulated with inputs from the region’s concerned stakeholders: research consortia, SUCs, and concerned RLAs.  It was presented to the six Sectoral Committees of the RDC, all of which endorsed the document to the RDC for approval.

Both the RDIP and RDA are documents that support the implementation of the Cordillera Regional Development Plan 2017-2022, which focuses on translating the 0+10 Point Socioeconomic Agenda of the Duterte administration into regional strategies, policies, programs and activities so that by the end of 2022, more Filipinos will be closer to achieving their Ambisyon to have a matatag, maginhawa at panatag na buhay.
